Currently, in 2019 people treat children and women as the third person. they do not give them their rights. Multiple organizations are working on this motto. They work to let women, men, and children know their worth and bring gender justice. They make them realizes their part in humanity and growth of their nation. Sonke Gender Justice is one of the organizations which work for Gender Justice. This organization is giving the Sonke Health & Human Rights Scholarships, 2019. Snoke’s aim is the word in which children, women, and man can get a happy relationship,  healthy, equity that contributes to the development of democratic societies.

The organization Sonke Gender Justice operates in Africa to empower the civil society, government and promote gender equality. They also aim to prevent sexual and domestic violence. They are also running the campaign to bring awareness among them about HIV and AIDS.

SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDS and FUNDING: The scholarships give the full-tuition award to recruit in UCLA Law’s Master of Law Program (LL.M.) and assist Fellows in the travel expenses and securing a living for the studies. It also gives the opportunity to apply for the 1-year Fellowship placement with a Sonke’s Policy Development and Advocacy unit

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The UCLA Law – Sonke Health & Human Rights Fellowship is for law graduates (L.L.B degree, first division)and legal professionals or higher from the South African law school programmes. Ambitious applicants will also have the demonstrated commitment to gender equality, human rights, or health and volunteer or work experience in this field.
    All international candidates are automatically granted for the annual scholarship upon the admission.
    NOTE: non-South African candidates should have the valid work permit.
  • Candidates whose native language is not English should present the proof proficiency in English.
