The candidate must be full-fee-paying overseas students. Applicant must be finished on or after 1 January of the year before the year of application, an institute entrance-level requirement that allows entry into University of Canterbury undergraduate degree course.
Such scholars who are undertaking, or have finished, a course at the UC International College are eligible to apply. The First Year Scholarship 2019 is not sustainable by students who have already commenced partial study in the undergraduate degree courses at a New Zealand tertiary institution

- How to apply for First Year scholarship 2019: If you are curious, you may apply for the UC International First Year Scholarship 2019 after you have received the offer of the place at the University of Canterbury. After taking a full-time registration in the first year of the course for the undergraduate degree at the institute in a subject you want to study, you are qualified to complete the online application for First Year scholarship 2019
Supporting Documents: To ask for the awards, candidates will require to submit documents including Proof of citizenship or residency status (e.g. birth certificate, passport), Evidence of community involvement, financial hardship or ethnic background, List of referees, Transcripts or records of learning, Referees and if necessary arrange any academic or language tests required.
